Before You Light — First Burn Matters
Trim the wooden wick to about ⅛" (3 mm) before the first burn. You can gently pinch off the charred bits between your fingers or use wick trimmers.
Burn for 2–3 hours on the first light to create a full melt pool and prevent tunneling.
Always place your candle on a heat-safe surface and keep it away from drafts, children, and pets.
Wooden Wick Tips
Wooden wicks burn differently than cotton: they produce a soft crackle and a low, smoldering flame.
If your flame appears weak, extinguish it, trim off the charred wood, and relight. A too-long wick can smother the flame.
Allow wax to melt fully across the surface before extinguishing to promote even burning.
